Welcome back to all of our Spark 101 teachers! Thank you for being who you are and for everything you do for us every day.

Spark 101 is here to help with your virtual opening, hybrid opening, or even your traditional in-person opening. As you are planning your instruction, Spark 101 STEM Skills Videos remain FREE for you and your students. With so many different instructional plans to open the school year, we want to share a few thoughts on how Spark 101 videos can fit into your learning model.

QR Codes for Safe Student Access

Have you seen the new Spark 101 student view? You can share the QR code with your students and the only thing shown via the link is the video itself. There are never any ads or other pop-ups on the screen. We’re really pleased with this feature and have received positive feedback from Spark 101 teachers.

Home Lesson Plans

There are many school districts that are teaching using a hybrid method. So, what can you do at home or in the classroom? Spark 101 Stem Skills Videos are great to use in a hybrid setting because students may work collaboratively, even without a teacher. We also have a section called Beyond the Classroom where you will find a variety of different ideas for teaching in OR outside of the classroom.

Career Snapshots

Are you looking for engaging content for your class meetings? Our Career Snapshots are a great resource for teachers. You can show a short Career Snapshot and use it as intended - to show students different careers and their related interests and academic pathways - but you can also use them for discussion and writing prompt ideas. You can use the ‘Student View” to link them in a hyperdoc or PowerPoint for ease of use for students. Just click on the “Share with students” button that is located at the bottom right of all our videos. When you click this, you will automatically receive the QR code as described above, and a student link for the video.

All of us at Spark 101 appreciate the time and effort you put into helping all our learners. Let us know how you are using Spark 101. Subscribe to our newsletter to get updates on new lessons and blog posts. Visit us on TwitterFacebook, and LinkedIn to share what ‘Sparks’ you!
